Former Chelsea winger Salomon Kalou has picked three of his former Blues teammates in his ‘dream’ 5-a-side team. The Hertha Bertin forward won the Premier League and Champions League during his six-year spell with the west London giants, and his squad consisted of the likes of David Luiz, Petr Cech and compatriot Didier Drogba, who were key to the 2012 Champions League success.
The experienced forward also picked countrymen Yaya Toure and Gervinho – both of whom are still plying their trades with Manchester City and Heben China Fortune. In an exclusive with 90min, he said: “I’m going to say Yaya Toure, and obviously Didier [Drogba]. I have to put Gervinho for sure…and David Luiz, because I need a defender! “Crystal Palace is my home town and the support we have here is genuine support with families watching with their kids loving us as players so I don’t really see myself anywhere else,” he told the club’s official website. “I am enjoying my football here and just focused on us being a stable club and not having to listen to all the speculation about us getting relegated.” 
Kalou has a whole lot of experience in football and wishes to pass it on to his youth competitors. As per the player, things happen pretty fast in football and focusing on a goal is imperative. When you make a good game, it is important to score a goal and play better in the upcoming games. By doing so, you can boost your self-confidence which makes you a better player. He doesn’t like change and hence believes in repeating things over and over again. He has been living in the same apartment for many years and does not believe in exploring too many cafes or restaurants. He visits the same restaurants and cafés and orders the same food each time.
Although the French team was interested to sign the player there was some friction regarding some payments and Fabio da Silva was so excited to move to France that he offered to make the payment from his own pocket. This gesture has been well received by the French club who said that are delighted by the commitment shown by the player.
