SALOMON KALOU IS NOW A GRADUATE

 

Botafogo forward Salomon Kalou can be referred to as a graduate after the Ivorian international player bagged a University degree. The 35-year-old is gradually preparing for life at the end of his football career. Salomon Kalouhas secured a degree for himself at an institution in France.


He bagged a Business Administration (BA) degree at the prestigious Lyon business school in Lyon, France. Salomon Kalou was quick to praise his late father after he achieved success in his quest to bag a University degree. He confirmed his status as a graduate some months ago.

Salomon Kalouis eyeing a possible career change at the end of his career as a professional footballer. His football career started at Dutch Eredivisie club Feyenoord some 17 years ago. His youth career started in his native Ivory Coast.

His football career began at Ivorian club football giants ASEC Mimosas. During his time at Feyenoord, he spent some months at fellow Dutch team Excelsior. Salomon Kalou made a name for himself at Chelsea whom he joined from Feyenoord in 2006. The Ivorian winger was at Stamford Bridge for six years until 2012 when he left for Lille in the French league.

Salomon Kalou won the Champions League title for the Blues during his time at Chelsea. The Champions League title triumph came at the end of the 2011/12 campaign. The Blues beat Bayern Munich on penaltiesin the final to win the trophy.

In addition to that Champions League title,Salomon Kalou also won the 2009/10 Premier League title, four FA Cup titles and one League Cup title at the club before he left for Lille in 2012. The 93-cap Ivorian international left the Blues shortly after the aforementioned Champions League title triumph. He has scored 27 goals for Ivory Coast since his debut in 2007.
