Former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou has revealed that he has been impressed with Chelsea mama her Thomas Tuchel so far and said he believes the manager will take the club to a better position coke the end of the season. Tuchel was appointed by club owner Roman Abramovic following the sacking of former manager Frank Lampard and he has done well to deserve the praise he has been getting since then.
He has brought about a pattern of football that has seen his side play some more interesting football different from what they did under Lampard. Tuchel has improved the Chelsea defense and it is evident in how they have not been conceding goals so far this season. In his first twelve games as manager at Chelsea, the Blues kept an impressive 8 clean sheets, including one in their 1-0 UEFA Champions League victory away at Atletico Madrid.

Keisuke Honda and Salomon Kalou were the two major players signed by Brazilian outfit Botafogo in the summer. Both signings were expected to provide a lot of attacking threat for the team. Salomon Kalou, though, has been unable to make much of an impact since he has struggled with injuries ever since coming to the club. Meanwhile, Honda could be preparing for a swift exit after he has hinted the same on his Twitter account. One of the key reasons behind both players being signed by Botafogo was the presence of coach Ramon Diaz. However, he has now been relieved from his role due to health problems.
Incidentally, Diaz was never in charge of the Botafogo team even for a single match. The former Argentina international was appointed as the coach of Botafogo only a few weeks ago. Arsenal have finally landed their target in person of Omar Rekik after the London club were linked with the player for the entirety of last summer with a move failing to materialize. He bagged a Business Administration (BA) degree at the prestigious Lyon business school in Lyon, France. Salomon Kalou was quick to praise his late father after he achieved success in his quest to bag a University degree. He confirmed his status as a graduate some months ago.

For this, he left Hertha Berlin of Germany and has appeared in Brazil to play the last few games of his career. The former Chelsea skipper is going to celebrate his 35th birthday in August and is very eager to play on Brazilian soil.
According to him, the passions for football among the Brazilians are really awesome and you will get such an atmosphere in very few countries. Former Tottenham Hotspur star Jermaine Jenas has said that Arsenal made a poor piece of business with Nicolas Pepe after he failed to justify his price tag. The Ivory Coast international made the surprise switch to the Gunners during last summer’s transfer window after the club spent a club-record fee of £72m for his signature.
However, his performances have been pretty average over the course of the campaign and he has registered only eight goals and nine assists across all competitions. Managing Director of RB Leipzig Oliver Mintzlaff has said that they have not agreed on any deals with Chelsea and their current focus is on completing the campaign. They are currently standing at the third position as the top four will be qualifying for the Champions League.
There have been reports that Chelsea has put forward a deal that agrees upon Leipzig’s clause on Werner. A deal of £54 million was forwarded by Chelsea and they have beaten Liverpool and Manchester United on the race to sign Timo Werner. According to Mintzlaff, they have not yet been approached by Blues formally and the main focus will be on the league keeping apart the transfer.

Unai Emery has revealed that he had the preference of signing Wilfried Zaha ahead of Nicolas Pepe when he was the Arsenal manager. The north London side were heavily linked with Zaha’s signature during the 2019 summer transfer window but ultimately, they opted to sign Nicolas Pepe in a club-record deal from Lille.
Pepe has not been consistent in his debut season in the Premier League but he has still impressed in stages and has bagged four goals and six assists from 24 appearances.
