KALOU BACKS PRM

Former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou has hinted that may be open to offers from England saying that it is still the best league in the world.

The Ivory Coast international was released by Chelsea after his contract came to an end at the end of the 2012 season. In his final season at the club, the striker managed to lift the Champions League title. He transferred to the French league as a free agent with Lille, but his first season in France has not gone according to plan. He has struggled for form during his 12 months at the club.

Despite this, he has been a first-team regular at the French club, which was something he struggled during his time at Chelsea. Kalou has been linked with a return to the Premier league with newly promoted Cardiff city. He has failed to deny the rumours by saying that the Premier league still remains as one of the best leagues in the world, and he would be open to the possibility of playing in it once again. The 27-year-old Kalou is not expected to cost in excess of £ 10 million, which would make him an ideal signing for Cardiff manager Mackay.
Cardiff will be looking to strengthen their attack and Kalou, who scored 60 goals for Chelsea during his six years at the club, is an excellent option.

“Playing in the Premier League was amazing and I want to have that feeling again. It is still the best league in the world. The supporters there are so passionate and know everything about the game. You see fans making fun of their opponents and singing songs and in other places you don’t have that. It gives England an extra edge,” said the striker. Mackay also said that things are progressing well in the transfer department.

Who will win the Australian football league

Although the Australian A-League may not attract quite as much fan or betting attention as football leagues in Europe, the fact that so many sports betting sites offer markets for it indicates that plenty of people are interested in wagering on it.

This season’s A-League sees the Central Coast Mariners currently installed as the hot favourites for the title, as you can get odds of just 7/4 on them at many of the sportsbooks – but it isn’t a one-horse race, as there are other sides considered to be in contention.

Just below the Mariners are Sydney Wanderers, who have been given odds of 9/4 for the A-League title, with Melbourne Victory also considered to be serious contenders at 9/2. Of course when it comes to betting on this or any other sport, many betting fans prefer to avoid the low-odds favourites, in favour of picking one of those teams with longer odds – but who are still considered a realistic bet. This year, Sydney FC at 12/1 are likely to be an attractive bet for many of these people, although those looking for a bit riskier proposition might prefer to opt for Brisbane Roar at 20/1.

This is why it is vital to know a little something about the teams and the league before betting, so that you are aware of any injury of form issues that could affect your bet. It isn’t hard to research this information nowadays with the internet at your disposal, however it may even put you off and seem even more daunting than before. If this is the case the internet also helps with providing other forms of sporting entertainment in the form of games, and if you really are resolute on placing a bet then you can combine the two by choosing an online slots game as opposed to a purely for fun flash game.

An easy way to combine football and betting is through a football slots game like Soccer Safari. Soccer Safari is one of the quirkier football slots around, involving a bunch of animals (including cheetahs, warthogs and buffalo) playing each other in a World Cup in the jungle.

The graphics of the animals and the jungle stadium are excellent, the commentating elephant looks like Gary Lineker, and there is a great opportunity to win a payout – making it one of the best sports slots as well.

LUKAKU ONE OF THE BEST

The Chelsea youngster Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at West Brom, has been one of the best teenagers in English football this season.

In fact, he is the highest scoring teenager in Premier league this season, as he has 12 goals to his name. He was initially sent to West Brom in order to gain experience, as he would not be able to get regular first-team football due to the presence of Torres at Chelsea. The Belgian international has managed to outshine several other strikers by scoring 12 goals in the league, as they have helped West Brom sustain their position in the top half of the table.

Due to his successful loan spell, there have been reports that West Brom will be looking at the possibility of keeping Lukaku for another year. However, the manager Steve Clarke has confirmed that the player will be returning to his parent club at the end of the season. Even as the 12 goals look extremely impressive, Clarke has pointed to the fact that most of the appearances have as a substitute. The player found first-team opportunities limited at the European champions last season, especially due to the presence of Drogba and Torres. Lukaku made only one Premier league start – on the final day of the season – for Chelsea.

“He is Chelsea’s player. He belongs to Chelsea and he will go back there in the summer. In the meantime, Clarke thanked Chelsea for allowing Lukaku the chance to impress at another club and work on reaching his potential after finding first-team opportunities initially hard to come by in England. I have never thought it would be possible Chelsea would let him come back next season. He came on a season-long loan and we’re grateful we got him,” said Clarke, whose team face Stoke City during the weekend.

KALOU STAYING

The former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou has said that he is not looking for a move away from the French club Lille, despite reports linking him with a return to England with the Premier league club QPR.

The Ivory Coast international has been a major disappointment at the French club since his free transfer move in the summer. He has made 17 appearances for the club during this season, but has scored just three goals in all competitions. This has meant that Lille are struggling in the eighth position in the league with just two victories in the last five matches.

It has been rumoured that the French club will be willing to listen to offers for the player, who has been extremely disappointing as a striker. The 27-year-old, though, has confirmed that he is not seeking a move away from the French club and is extremely looking forward to being a success at the French club. Selling the 27-year-old Ivory Coast international striker will represent a sizeable profit for the French club, who managed to get him on a free transfer this summer. Selling him will also help the club manage their finances in a much better way. It was only a few months ago that the French club sold the star asset Eden Hazard to Chelsea.

“We are calm. Salomon knows he has to work hard to reach his true level and show what he is capable of doing when he is in the best shape mentally,” said his agent and brother in a recent interview. Meanwhile, the coach of the Lille team confirmed that the club are not looking to sell the player because he still believes that Kalou can realise his potential. Rudi Garcia has said that Kalou is someone who will be able to deliver once he settles.

LILLE CALL FOR PATIENCE

The Lille manager Rudi Garcia has said that the Lille fans should be showing a little bit of patience with respect to the former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou, who has struggled for form since making his free transfer to the team in the summer.

The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international was released at the end of his six year spell with the London team in the summer. He decided to join the French club Lille after analysing various offers from clubs across Europe. However, he has not hit the heights the fans have expected due to a number of reasons.

The manager has now come in defence of the player by saying that he expects Salomon Kalou to come good eventually, but fans are expecting too much of him at this initial stage. Due to the fact that the Ivory Coast international is the number one striker at the club, the team has also struggled to score goals. As a result, they are currently in the 10th position, which has infuriated the fans. Lille won the French league title only last season, but they are in danger of not even qualify for the Champions League this season. Lille were recently defeated 1-0 by Bayern Munich.

“It is not only Kalou but Martin and Payet too. To compare them to Eden and Gervinho [who joined Arsenal after the 2011 title success], we need to look at the moment they joined the team, not the moment they left,” said Rudi Garcia. Since making the free transfer from Chelsea, Salomon Kalou has made seven appearances for the team and has scored just two goals. During his time with the London team, Kalou was largely a substitute. However, he did start the Champions League final against Bayern Munich and won it with Chelsea for the first time in his career.

KALOU HELPS IVORY COAST WIN

Ivory Coast has defeated Senegal by a profound margin of 4-2 in a qualifier of the African Nations Cup. The match was played at the capital city of Ivory Coast i.e. Abidjan on Saturday. The Ivorian players didn’t disappoint the huge crowd that had come to watch their favourite players.

That was a superb performance by the home team. The Senegal players played well in the first half, but, in the second half, it was Ivory all the way. The Senegal team got ahead in the match twice, but, the Senegal players showed a bit of tentativeness and allowed the Ivorian team to make a comeback in the match. The Chelsea winger Salomon Kalou was one of the four scorers for Ivory. The other three were Didier Drogba, Max Gradel and Gervinho.

Ndoye took Senegal ahead in the match by putting the ball into the goal post with a fantastic volley. That shot flattened the Ivorian goalkeeper, Boubacar Barry and went straight into the far corner of the goal post. But, Ivory managed to level the score just before the half time with the goal of Salomon Kalou. That was the last goal to be scored in the first half and the scores were levelled at 1-1 at the end of the first half. In the second half, Senegal got ahead again when Papiss Cisse netted with a fine header.

But, that was it for the Senegal team in the match. After that, the Ivorian team played amazingly well and didn’t give Senegal any chance. Gervinho scored the leveller with a powerful and well placed shot. Gradel and Drogba scored two more goals in the last 10 minutes of the match and secured Ivory’s victory. There will be another match between these two teams at Dakar next month.

LILLE SNAP UP KALOU

Lille has signed former Chelsea midfielder, Salomon Kalou, on a four year contract. The deal got finalized after Kalou passed a medical test. Before joining Lille, Kalou used to play for Chelsea. His contract with Chelsea got completed in July 2012 and he was released by Chelsea. He had been looking for a new club since then.

Kalou was a key member of the Chelsea side. He has been with Chelsea since the last six years. He played 254 matches for Chelsea in which he scored 60 goals. Kalou’s first goal for Chelsea was against Blackburn Rovers in a match of the League Cup. He impressed one and all in his very first season for Chelsea. Jose Mourinho, the manager of Chelsea at that time, had praised Kalou for his versatility and hard working nature.

After signing the contract, Kalou said that he is pretty happy to join Lille. As per Kalou, he could not have found a better club than Lille in France. He said that he had seen quite a lot of matches of Lille in the previous season and the performance of Lille was impressive. Eden hazard left Lille this summer and Kalou would probably fill his spot in the team.

Meanwhile, Rudi Garcia, the manager of Lille, has said that Kalou is a highly talented player. Kalou played his first match for Lille against Benfica a few days back. That was a friendly match. The match ended in a draw. Kalou came to play as substitute in the second half of the match. Garcia seemed to be quite happy with the performance of Kalou in that match. As per Garcia, Kalou performed decently in that match. But, at the same time, he also said that Kalou has to work a bit on his fitness.

KALOU LOOKING FOR NEW CLUB

Former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou is edging closer towards finding new club. The 26-year-old was released by Chelsea after his contract came to an end. He helped Chelsea win the Champions League in his final season with the club.

Due to the fact that he is only 26 years old and available on a free transfer means that a number of clubs have been showing interest in signing the Ivorian international. Liverpool and Arsenal have been the major clubs to show an interest in the player, while German club Schalke also appeared to be closer to his signature. However, it is thought that French club Lille have become the new favourite for his signature.

Salomon Kalou’s agent said previously that his client would favour a move to German club Schalke due to the fact that he would get regular first-team opportunity. Even though clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal were interested in him, he would not get regular first-team football, which is something he missed during his six years with Chelsea. Salomon Kalou was an £ 8 million signing from Dutch club Feyenoord back in 2006. José Mourinho expected Salomon Kalou to become one of the best wingers of the game, but he has been largely a substitute for Chelsea during this six years.

Even though he has been a substitute, he has not failed to score goals. In fact, Salomon Kalou is known for the large number of crucial goals he has scored as a substitute. He has been unable to get regular first-team football at the club due to the regular sacking and firing of managers. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is thought to have personally been interested in securing the 26-year-old’s signature, but Salomon Kalou has not been convinced that he will get regular first-team football at the Emirates stadium.

KALOU CANT RULE OUT ARSENAL MOVE

Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou has said that he will not rule out the possibility of moving across the town to archrivals Arsenal in the summer.

The 26-year-old Ivorian is out of contract at the end of the season. Chelsea have shown no interest in offering the player, who designed for £ 8 million in 2006, a new deal.

Hence, it is very likely that Salomon Kalou will depart the club after their final game of the season – Champions League final against Bayern Munich on May 19. He was never selected by former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, but has once again become an important part of the team under interim manager Roberto di Matteo.

Still, it is something that has not persuaded Chelsea to offer him a new deal. Arsenal have already expressed their interest in signing the player. Salomon Kalou did nothing to quash the rumours by saying that he would not rule out a potential move to Arsenal in the summer. This will not be the first time a player switches between the two clubs given that Benayoun is already on loan at the club from Chelsea. Meanwhile, players like William Gallas and Lassana Diarra have moved between the two clubs in the past.

‘I’m one step away from winning the Champions League. After that I can decide [on the future]. I just want to win the Champions League,’ said the 26-year-old. Liverpool have also shown interest in the player, who was also responsible for eliminating them from the Champions League. Salomon Kalou provided the cross for the John Risse own goal in 2008. Chelsea then made it into the final of the Champions League that season, although they lost to Manchester United on penalties. They have the chance to rectify this loss this time around when they face Bayern Munich at the Allianz arena.

WEST HAM WANTED KALOU

Salomon Kalou has been quite in demand in the last week by being bid upon by some of the clubs in the premiership. The last of these bids has come from West Ham United who is all keen to put on a huge bid amount for the transfer.

This is not new for the West Ham united team who had put forward a 6 million dollar deal for Nikica Jelavic. However, due to certain circumstances the bid was not accepted.

West Ham has not given up hope since then and has made sure that they be the first to get a deal for Salomon Kalou.

Salomon is anyway used sparingly in the matches as boss Andrea Villas Boas does not seem to require his presence as of now. However, this player has got quite the skill and talent in him which has been seen and well appreciated by other clubs in the premiership. Salomon Kalou has even got an offer for transfer to Arsenal, but it was rejected immediately as Chelsea would rather trade their players to a foreign team rather than giving it to their rivals.

Salomon Kalou has a lot to look to in the years to come as he has been having quite a good time with the entire transfer season. He just needs to better his skills and perform for Chelsea and ensure that this can be seen and appreciated by Andrea Villas Boas as well.

Apart from that, if the deal does strike for him with West Ham United, he might see a bright prospective future for himself with that club. He just needs to keep improving his game as this is the only way he can gain the appreciation from other club coaches and managers.
